Daiwa Sealine SLT and SLD Reels

daiwa_sealine.jpg

Designed for use with either mono or super-braid line, Daiwa’s new Sealine SLT and SLD lever-drag reels feature heavy-gauge components for taking on the toughest salt water species. The 2 Sealine Tournament reels – SLT50-2SPD ($480) and SLT50W-2SPD wide-spool ($525) – are 2-speed models with fast, push-button shifting. They feature a main shaft-bearing stabilizer to prevent side load on the spool bearings for smoother winding and drag tension. Machined-aluminum frames and spools, and drop-forged aluminum sideplates provide strength and corrosion-resistance. The SLD series includes a pair of two-speed models ($300-$310) and 2 single-speeds ($185-$195) in 20 and 30 lb. versions. All boast a one-piece frame for remarkable strength and reliable dual-disc drag that sandwiches the metal brake rotor between 2 composite washers. Daiwa, Artesia, CA; (562) 802-9589; www.daiwa.com.
