ACR’s Distress SOS

ACRs new Distress SOS gives you the candlepower to attract attention to your position from over 22 nautical miles.

When you find yourself in a nighttime emergency situation at sea, the only thing that matters is getting help and getting it fast. ACR’s new Distress SOS gives you the candlepower to attract attention to your position from over 22 nautical miles.
The Distress SOS is the only nonflammable, safe, buoyant USCG-compliant night visual distress signal that flashes SOS, the international Morse Code for distress. With over 50,000 candles of light intensity after six hours of continuous use, this intense spot beam provides enough light intensity to get the attention of any boat spotted on the horizon or aircraft visible in the sky. The unit is as safe and easy to use as a common flashlight without the risk of fire associated with the use of flares. Unlike traditional flares, the unit can be tested repeatedly, be turned on and off at will, and floats if dropped overboard.
