NauticStar makes more than two dozen bay-, deck- and offshore-boat models, 18 to 28 feet, for professional and recreational anglers, families, and pleasure boaters.

A member of the MasterCraft family, the company manufactures several styles of bay boats, deck boats, and center-console offshore boats. The Legacy and Hybrid series are multi purpose. NauticStar also offers a deep V, dual-console model.

In a NauticStar boat, you can count on wood-free construction, limited lifetime hull warranty, durable vinyl ester barrier coat, and one-piece molded stringer — spaces within it foam-filled for flotation, sound-dampening and vibration reduction. (Our survey respondents cited safety flotation as their top demand.)

Liner and hull are molded as single units, joined shoebox-style with a stainless-steel fastener every 2 inches. NauticStar makes its own upholstery and finished-on-both-sides fiberglass lids, and every boat is water-tested before leaving the plant.

NauticStar 251 Hybrid
Newest and, at 25 feet, biggest of NauticStar’s three-boat Hybrid line, the 251 Hybrid is a multi-purpose boat that’s both tournament-ready and family-friendly.

Distinctive touches include an aft deck covered with SeaDek quieting, cushioning and traction-providing PE/EVA material.

For anglers there are console (15-gallon) and aft (16-gallon) livewell/baitwells, meeting or exceeding the needs of 93 percent of survey respondents; a 43-gallon insulated bow fish box; and storage for up to 21 rods, exceeding the needs of all but a handful of our survey respondents. Four stainless-steel gunwale rod holders meet or exceed the minimums for 70 percent of inshore anglers.

The family will love the Infinity PRV 315 Bluetooth stereo and JBL marine speakers, premium Llebroc seating, galley with sink and cutting board, bow flip-out backrests, drop-down console floor into a dressing room or optional head ,and 45-quart bow Yeti cooler. Another 40-quart swim-up cooler is integrated into the transom. There are boarding ladders fore and aft, and the head’s interior is finished.

The large dashboard, beneath a powder-coated T-top and protected by a tempered-glass windshield, stands ready to house a pair of 12-inch displays. The 251 Hybrid’s transom deadrise of 16 degrees and bow entry of 40 degrees create a wave-slicing fishing and family boat that sits steady at rest.
