Pursuit Wins Second Place World Record Releases From IGFA

April 13, 2005, Ft. Pierce, Florida – Pursuit Boats recently received honors at the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) Second Annual World Record Achievement Awards Celebration held April 9, 2005.  The event was held at the IGFA’s Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Dania Beach, Florida and was attended by a sold out audience of close to 300 anglers and guests.  Well known outdoor writer and lecturer, George Poveromo, host of ESPN2 “World of Saltwater Fishing” was master of ceremonies for the fun and relaxed evening.

Among the awards presented were Lifetime Achievement Awards to top anglers or guides and who are world record holders.  Many additional awards were presented to anglers, captains and tackle manufacturers who had set the first, second or third most records in 2004.

Pursuit’s award, in the manufacturing category, was Second Place World Record Boat Manufacturer, for the most releases in the world from a Pursuit in 2004.

Accepting the award on behalf of Pursuit was Paul Perry, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, who said “We are very proud of the fact that so many World Record Holders chose a Pursuit boat to take them to their winning catches. We are also pleased that so many of our fisherman subscribe to the ‘catch and release’ method of fishing that will allow future generations to enjoy this great sport.”
