Boston Whaler this year celebrates a half-century of production of its perennially popular and iconic Outrage line.

It was 1970 when the 12-year-old company, then based in Quincy, Massachusetts, unveiled the design for its first 21-foot center-console boat, the Outrage.

The Outrage models, in various iterations, have been in production ever since, and some have even been in service that long. The 50-year-old Outrage Hull #001 is still in use at the Marine Biological Laboratory, Quincy, Massachusetts.
