Feel the Rhythm

For 30 years, Ross Reels has been creating some of the finest and most innovative reels on the market. This year the company introduced the Rhythm, a large-arbor reel designed to replace the Gunnison.

All the durability, style and performance of the Gunnison series are present in this new reel. It is fully machined from barstock aluminum and features an advanced space-age disc-drag system that provides accurate, easily controlled, repeatable settings. The drag offers virtually no start-up friction to keep lighter tippets safe. The spool can be quickly removed and changed, and the reel is easily converted from right- to left-hand retrieve. The exposed outside rim of the spool allows easy palming for additional drag control, and the large-arbor construction facilitates a faster retrieve. The design offers both an incoming and outgoing click, and the ventilated pattern lightens the reel significantly.

The Rhythm is currently available only in black, in sizes up to #3.5 for lines up to 8-weight. The 3.5 holds over 200 yards of 20-pound backing, plus a floating 7-weight line, and it weighs only 5.2 ounces, making it ideal for bonefish and redfish. It retails for $230; extra spools cost $106. Ross Reels has plans to add larger models. For more information, contact Ross Reels; 970-249-1212; or visit www.rossreels.com.
