Rigging-Needle Case

rigging_needle.jpg

I used to always lose my bait-rigging needles and lure-threaders in my ever-growing tackle box. Even when I could find it, the needle was sometimes dulled from bouncing around with the other tackle. Now I use a disposable ballpoint pen as a needle case. I just removed the tip of the pen and its ink tube, then slipped my needle into it and replaced the cap. I used a clear pen, so I can see the contents, but I labeled it with a permanent marker so I wouldn’t try to use it as a regular pen.
