Charter Communications today announced that it is adding WFN: World Fishing Network, North America’s only 24-hour fishing lifestyle channel, in Charter cable systems serving more than two million customers in nine states.
During July and August, WFN will be launched on Charter’s digital cable systems in the New England states, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Louisiana. WFN launched in 2008 on Charter’s Minnesota system, on its popular Charter Sports View tier.
“Charter is pleased to expand our carriage of WFN into our cable systems in these states, once again providing special interest programming for our customers’ enjoyment,” stated John Miller, Charter’s Director of Communications. “Charter is committed to building long-term, satisfying relationships with our customers by providing services they want and enjoy. WFN offers programming that adds value to our service, and also responds to requests from our customers,” Mr. Miller added.
“Since consumers have had the chance to experience the wide variety of fishing programming available on WFN, it has become obvious that there is a demand for more diverse programming for anglers,” said Mark Rubinstein, President of WFN. “We are delighted that Charter recognizes WFN as the best option to satisfy the underserved community of sport and leisure fishing enthusiasts in these fishing hotbeds.”
