Miami Boat Show Quantix
Garmin debuted the new GPSMAP 8000 series at the Miami Internattional Boat Show — an impressive and powerful Glass Bridge system — and at the same time we saw a demo of the wrist-mounted Quatix GPS Watch, which wirelessly displays data from the helm and also can be used to control the autopilot. Here it is shown fully synchronized, displaying heading data along with the autopilot and chart plotter. We detailed its substantial capabilities in “New Electronics” in our March issue.
