New Penn Travel Rods

Penn has expanded its line of three-piece travel rods, which now includes models inthe International II (casting and spinning), Gold Medal (fly fishing),and Prion (spinning) lines. The three International II castingrods (sug. ret. $199) are based on IMS graphite blanks and featuretrigger handles, cork grips, aluminum-oxide guides and graphitereel seats. There’s a 7′ rod rated for 16 lb. test, a 6′ 1/2″rod rated for 20 lb. test, and a 6′ 1/2″ rod for 30 lb. test.The two 7′ International II spinning rods ($199) feature the samecomponents and are rated for 8 and 12 lb. test, respectively.The Prion spinning rods ($80-$110) range from 6′ to 7′ and coverapplications up to medium-heavy salt water. They feature chrome-platedgraphite blanks, titanium-coated aluminum guides, cork grips andgraphite seats.
