FLIR has announced a new, more affordable version of the popular but pricey M-Series thermal night-vision camera.
The new M-Series from FLIR brings night vision into range of more mariners by eliminating the low-light micro-lux camera feature of the original model. The price comes down, but at the same time, performance goes up. The new model provides a 50 percent improvement in range performance over earlier night-vision cameras and incorporates Ethernet connectivity for interface with other on-board electronics. Also, this model retains the full array of infrared color palettes and the capability to network with any monitor or multifunction display that has an auxiliary video input.
