Anyone who’s ever spent any time in a tackle store or outdoor shop knows the Leatherman Tool Group and its unique line of high-quality multi-tools. And while companies often imitate its products, Leatherman always seems to keep one step ahead, making tools that work great and look good, too.

There’s no substitute for quality, and Leatherman’s Skeletool line continues the company’s legacy.

Today’s outdoor enthusiasts want to keep weight and volume to a minimum without sacrificing quality and true functionality. While multi-tools have several options, they’re often loaded down with gizmos that you never use. Conversely, pocket knives are light and streamlined, but render themselves useless when necessary adjustments call for a tool. Enter the new, five-ounce Skeletool platform: minimal weight, compact size and endless capabilities.

Whether you’re fishing or putting together a project at home, there are some things you just can’t do without – like a high-quality knife, a powerful pair of pliers and a good set of screwdrivers. Skeletool’s outside-accessible blade means you can open it just like a pocketknife – quickly and with one hand. Bit-driver technology makes it possible to customize the screwdriver for any job. Using either the bits that come with the tool (which store in the handles) or the Leatherman bit kit (sold separately), there are upwards of 42 hex, Robertson, Pozi, Torx, Phillips and slotted bit options. The full-sized pliers with wire cutters and folding handles are strong, comfortable and easy-to-use.

Leatherman makes two versions: the base Skeletool made from stainless steel, and the Skeletool CX, which comes with a 420HC blade, a DLC Tungsten coating for scratch resistance and an extra 154CM combination straight/serrated blade. Both versions are covered under Leatherman’s 25-year warranty.
