South Florida Tile Fishing
This emerging fishery in South Florida promises a little adventure and a great dinner.

Long Haul: You need stout tackle to haul a hefty golden tilefish up from the depths, but it’s a lot of fun doing it.
Simple Rigs: Tilefish rigs aren’t complex; drop a chunk of meat to the bottom and then hang onto the rod.
Top baits include chunks of bonito, king mackerel, ballyhoo plugs and squid.

Another common catch is the blackbelly rosefish.
A Happy Crew: As with most bottomfish, golden tiles are great table fare, and soon this crew will eat well!
