Basing the design on its popular ZX2200, Skeeter reconfiguredthe hull with a lower freeboard and a new running surface thatoffers an even smoother ride. You can also choose between thecompany’s patented V-hull design and its new tunnel-hull design.The composite-constructed ZX22 Bay measures 21 feet 10 inches longto provide plenty of room for people and gear and gives the boatenough hull to ride over waves in rough water.
Anglers can cast from the oversize bow and stern casting deckswithout worry, and the generous 98-inch beam provides a stableplatform and sure footing while running or fighting fish. A 14-inchdraft and a dry weight of only 1,850 pounds lets the ZX22 Bay getfarther into shallow water. Designed to run with an engine of up to225 hp, this boat will easily get up out of the hole whennecessary.
Storage includes built-in rod holders and twin rod boxes to keepgear out of the way. An enclosed console storage box keepsimportant items dry and secure, while the divided front-deckstorage and a rear-storage area keep gear from getting underfoot.All storage compartments and the anchor storage locker featuredurable fiberglass doors and stainless-steel hinges to stand up toharsh saltwater environments.
Standard features include a center-console command center with acomplete complement of gauges, tilt hydraulic steering with aleaning post for the driver and passenger (a 94-quart cooler isstowed beneath the leaning post) and an 18-gallon baitwell. Alsostandard is an aluminum, tandem-axle trailer with surge brakes,spare tire, transom tie-downs and a flushing kit, along with yourchoice of a Yamaha VMAX from 150 to 225 hp. The ZX22 Bay isprewired for a trolling motor.
