Anglers looking for a full-featured flats boat at an entry-level price should check out the Flats Fox 200, one of three flats models offered by Sea Fox boats in Charleston, South Carolina. While these boats are built as price-point boats, Sea Fox doesn’t sacrifice quality or features to achieve the economical value. With modern styling, continually changing designs and colored hull gelcoats as standard equipment, Sea Fox boats will fit in quite nicely on any flat. Designed to float in less than a foot of water, the Flats Fox 200 offers both a stable fishing platform and a comfortable ride. Sea Fox builds all its 16- to 25-foot center console boats using its exclusive Fibre4System, a process that encompasses an all-fiberglass stringer system bonded directly to the deck and hull. The all-composite, hand-laid hull features Kledgecell coring, a material that is both lighter and stronger than wood. Additional closed-cell foam is injected into key areas for added flotation and safety, and the hull, deck and self-bailing cockpit receive a finish coat of an isothalic gelcoat for ease of maintenance.Standard features on the Flats Fox 200 include a 48-quart removable cooler, 49-gallon fuel tank, four dry-storage compartments, under-gunwale rod storage, molded nonskid deck surface, stainless-steel recessed deck hardware and pop-up cleats, chrome-over-brass through-hull fittings, aluminum rub rail, trim tabs and two livewells. Available options include a jack plate, poling platform and a removable bench seat. In addition, the hull is covered by a limited 10-year warranty.
