Aiflo Introduces New Series of Leaders

Airflos leaders come in a variety of densities and lengths designed to cast like an extension of your fly line.

For many of us, prefab leaders make life simple and easy. The problem with some of them is that you don’t get the same control you do with hand-tied leaders. To top it off, there aren’t many leaders that can be made or bought in a variety of densities. Many fly fishermen prefer to tie leaders because they like to cast a leader that is as flexible as the fly line to help transfer energy further down the line. AIRFLO created an excellent compromise in its new series of leaders designed to address virtually any saltwater situation. Airflo’s leaders come in a variety of densities and lengths designed to cast like an extension of your fly line.
Airflo’s new PolyLeader starts with a simple core of high-strength monofilament with an outer low-modulus tapered polymer, so it casts just like the fly line and transfers energy farther toward the fly to help turn the fly over. The PolyLeaders feature Airflo’s welded loop technology for convenient connections at the butt end, while the tip is exposed monocore for easy connection to the tippet of your choice.
PolyLeaders currently come in three saltwater models, including Saltwater, Bonefish and Tarpon and come in either 5- or 7-foot lengths and up to seven densities, ranging from floating to super-fast-sinking.
