Triple Sails on Fly

This photo is of the last of a triple header of sailfish released on the FLY!! We believe this is the first ever triple of sails on fly by a sportfishing boat. 23 March, 2001 aboard the “Intensity” out of Artmarina’s Fins & Feathers Inn, Guatemala total 14 sails on fly for the day l-r Mate Nestor Garcia, Anglers Tim Mahaffey of Miami and Larry Zarella & Frank DeLuca of Ft. Lauderdale, 1st mate Nicolas Melendrez. All the sails were caught with Cam Sigler’s Big Game tube flies rigged with Eagle Claw # 1182 teflon coated “Alaskan” 5/0 hooks.
