Tibor Reels QuickChange

Already known as one of the best in the fly-fishing industry for his durable, lightweight reels and excellent drag system, Tibor reel designer Ted Juracsik is staying ahead of the pack with his new QuickChange series.

Once you’ve mastered making a product, it’s hard to find ways to improve it. But somehow, Tibor Reel Corporation has done just that. Already known as one of the best in the fly-fishing industry for his durable, lightweight reels and excellent drag system, Tibor reel designer Ted Juracsik is staying ahead of the pack with his new QuickChange series. Available in Everglades, Riptide, Gulfstream and Pacific models, this reel-and-spool system allows you to change a spool by moving only one part – the stainless-steel arbor end cap. All internal parts are sealed and then hard-coated for protection. The open-hubbed, perforated spool and drum allow the reel to stay cool when a fish takes off on a long run. The reel features Tibor’s typical smooth drag, with triple outgoing line signals that can be removed if desired.

Each reel has a personalized nameplate that’s engraved for free and comes with an extra-thick neoprene case for additional protection during storage and transportation.

A double neoprene case that allows you to carry another spool is also available for $30 for medium reels and $32 for larger ones. QuickChange reels range from $675 to $790. All are backed by Tibor’s lifetime warranty. Gulfstreams and Riptides ship December 1, while the others will be available February 1.
