Anybody who’s ever fumbled in the dark for flies, tippet or worse, the way home, appreciates the value of a good flashlight. And if it comes in a small package that can be clipped to a lanyard, so much the better.
The new Stylus ultra-slim penlight from Streamlight Inc. is sure to please demanding anglers. The Stylus features a high-density, light-emitting diode that lasts 100,000 hours and helps to preserve night vision. Its waterproof, matched aluminum case comes in black, gold or silver, and features a nonslip grip for easy handling and a variety of LED colors.
Combining the convenience of an ultra-slim pen light with the power of a high-intensity LED, the Stylus comes in two models: a two-cell version that runs on two AAAA alkaline batteries, and a three-cell model that requires three AAAA alkaline batteries. The two-cell measures 4.95 inches and weighs less than an ounce, while the three-cell version measures 6.6 inches and weighs 1.1 ounces. Both offer more than 10 hours of run time and a lifetime warranty.
