Anthony Perkins, of Hampton Roads, Virginia, sent us this tip for using a pool noodle around fenders for protection from cuts.

"As a former mechanic, I know your arms can get pretty cut up due to sharp edges on fenders, so when I had to work on my trailer brakes, I took a precaution. I split a swim noodle lengthwise and fit it around the edge of the fender. One less thing to worry about as I worked on the trailer."
