James Victory, of Ocean Springs, Maryland, sent us this DIY tip for using pool noodles for a trailer hitch.

“With so many tasks to perform during the early-morning ritual of getting ready to go fishing, it’s easy to forget that the perfectly placed trailer hitch sits just about knee level. I dealt with this potentially painful situation by sliding a split pool noodle over the hitch and zip-tying it around the drawbar, leaving the part around the ball free to open for hitching up.”

Send us your original ideas, along with a sketch or photo. If we use your tip(s), we will send you a Shimano Baitrunner spinning reel, featuring a fast-retrieve, front-dial drag adjustment and popular baitrunner system, valued at up to $189.99!
