Cold-forged and machined from 6061 aircraft aluminum, Okuma’s new Makaira spinning reel is made to stand up to brutal saltwater conditions, with 23 oil-retaining O-rings and gaskets. It’s available in two sizes: MK-20000 (takes up to 490 yards of 65-pound braid) and MK-30000 (takes up to 700 yards of 80-pound braid). Both come in right- and left-hand models.
