NOAA and ASA Working for Habitat

The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and the American Sportfishing Association announced a new $1 million dollar partnership agreement dedicated to the restoration of marine fish habitat across the nation. Projects to be funded include the installation of a fish-ladder in New Hampshire, the creation of wetlands in Florida, and the restoration of river habitat in Alaska. Officials also stressed that local organizations leveraged about five dollars in additional public and private funding for every dollar invested by the partnership.
