Video: Fly Fishing for Reds on Paddle Boards

Fly anglers bring their boards to Northeast Florida to sight fish for redfish.

Peak tides in Northeast Florida allow redfish to swim among the reeds, slurping crabs, crustaceans and even snails that climb the green stalks. These fly anglers used paddleboards to slip into the shallows, near Jacksonville, to target red drum. Though paddleboards don’t have much room for tackle, and can be tough to cast a fly from, this crew made it happen. See the short video below of Paula Shearer and Rob McAbee fishing:
