Calico bass are an aggressive gamefish, concentrated in the kelp beds and rocky outcrops that make up California’s and Mexico’s shores. A group of five friends were brought together by a common love of saltwater fly fishing and this west coast jewel. The tightknit group call themselves the “The Calico Syndicate,” and they pioneered new equipment and flies to target these saltwater bass. Below is the movie trailer of their adventure:
