McKee Craft Boats has announced that Huntington (“Hunt”) James, former minority owner of McKee Craft, has purchased a controlling interest in the company and is now the President and CEO. Hunt is a life-long boater and has worked closely with a variety of clients in the marine industry. Hunt has served in numerous roles at Raymond James & Associates, which was founded by and is run by his family. Mr. James initiated the firm’s purchase of the naming rights to Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is also co-founder of Digital Hands LLC, a provider of managed information technology services.

Mr. James holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

“I am thoroughly convinced that McKee Craft produces one of the best and safest boats on the water today and I look forward to continuing the great tradition of unsinkable boat construction that has lead over 30,000 recreational, government and commercial boat buyers to choose McKee Craft over the last 40+ years.”
