You can imagine that when sharks and tarpon meet, there will be blood. These anglers had a harrowing experience when their hooked tapon became a meal for two hungry bull sharks boatside. Sharks often follow tarpon migrations, so it’s not surprising that the sharks made a meal of this one. Still, it’s a bit dissappointing to see a Silver King become a snack after an epic battle. It does make you wonder why they didn’t free-spool or cut the line when the sharks showed up on the scene. Maybe there wasn’t any time to react?
