Noted marine artist Vaughn Cochran has one of the more creative minds in the world of saltwater fly-fishing, and now his Black Fly Outfitters is moving aggressively into the world of interactive cyber-angling with the introduction of the “Flog” (or fly-fishing blog).

The Flog (www.vaughncochranart.com/flog) is dedicated to traveling fly-fishers in search of angling information. Written by fellow anglers, the Flog is totally interactive, offering tons of information on destinations, including real-time fishing reports, the best flies to use and photos and video. It’s a clearinghouse where anglers can educate and inform their fellow anglers.

Black Fly also launched the first-ever Online World Bonefish Championship. The premise is simple: Catch a bonefish anywhere in the world and you’re automatically in the running for a monthly “Online World Bonefish Championship” prize. You’ll need to register first, but it’s easy. Visit www.vaughncochran.com for more information.
