Monic now offers the perfect compromise – the Phantom Tip, a colored floating fly line with a clear floating tip.
Monic combined the advantages of its clearest line and its ultra-sensitive no-stretch opaque line to create this hybrid. The 10-foot-long tapered, clear tip acts like an extension of the leader, but unlike most leader material, it also floats and casts easily. Monic spliced the clear tip to the rest of the pale-green, all-weather line with a nail knot to ensure a solid connection and maintain sensitivity. Additionally this line will not gum up in salt water, has minimal memory and is usable in any weather condition.
