Traveling halfway across the world to fly-fish is hard enough without having to carry a large vise around to tie flies on the spot. The problem with many smaller vises is that they aren’t suitable for most saltwater-sized hooks.

Dyna-King has just introduced a new product that offers the perfect compromise between portability and function.

The new Kingfisher vise, designed by master vise designer Ron Abby, is small yet durable. Hand-crafted from stainless steel, this simple vise offers everything you’ve come to expect from Dyna-King. Of course, the Kingfisher features the famous Dyna-King hook-holding capabilities and the notch-lock cam, with full 360-degree rotation capabilities and jaws capable of easily holding hooks up to 2/0. The Kingfisher comes with either a clamp or a pedestal base and should work with most of Dyna-King’s accessories. The vise retails for $99.95.
