This new handheld VHF radio features Shakespeare’s Rapid Power battery system with an ultra-heavy-duty, rechargeable, nickel-metal hydride battery pack with a 1,300-milliamp capacity. The SE-700 offers more than twice the operating time of some competing VHFs with this power. It also works with standard AA or nicad batteries.
The SE-700 features all-scan, memory scan, dual watch, weather alert and priority channels 9 and 16. It has knobs for volume and squelch, a backlit LCD, and a battery-level indicator.
