Passport World Charts are a new series of electronic vector-based charts from Nobeltec. With worldwide coverage and high resolution, Passport charts represent a revolution in PC-based electronic charting.
Chart coverage for the entire world is broken down into intuitive regions, and fits onto a single CD-ROM that comes inside every copy of Nobeltec’s Visual Navigation Suite. Customers can then purchase “chart permits” over the internet, by telephone or directly through marine dealers to unlock the chart regions they need. This is a significant development, since customers can now obtain all of their charts without having to purchase multiple raster chart CDs through the mail or at a retail store.
