Yo-Zuri introduces its Wack-O (topwater) and Jerk-O (jerk bait) lures for anglers wanting smaller versions of the company’s popular Mag Popper and Mag Darter. At 3 5/8 inches long and 3/8 ounces, the new baits are also part of Yo-Zuri’s Magnet series, which features the company’s magnet weight-transfer system. Tungsten balls inside the bait roll to the tail during casting and improve distance. During the retrieve, the weights lock into the middle of the bait for balanced and lifelike swimming action. The Wack-O walks erratically on the surface, emits a rattle and throws water like a popper. The Jerk-O’s sloping head creates more action than a lip, Yo-Zuri says, allowing the bait to dart back and forth and then suspend in place. The plugs come in six colors and cost $12.99.
