Dometic’s new CSX Series system–known as the “Cold Machine”–can convert virtually any insulated compartment such as fishbox into an energy-smart refrigerator/freezer compartment. This self-contained system is perfect for keeping perishables, beverages and your catch of the day icy cold and fresh aboard your boat.
Engineered to accommodate storage volumes from 63 up to 422 quarts, the CSX Series Cold Machine features a fully integrated design that combines a high-efficiency compressor, fan-cooled evaporator, and digital temperature control in one space-saving unit.
The compact footprint makes it ideal for use in the space-restricted galleys, boxes, and storage areas commonly found on today’s boats. Boating anglers can simply drop it in, connect 12/24VDC power and enjoy a space-saving refrigerator or freezer without the complexity of remote couplings.
The system features fan-assisted airflow to accelerate cool-down times and maintain consistent temperatures—even in dynamic environmental conditions. Built-in LED compartment lighting enhances visibility and provides easier access to contents, whether used indoors or outdoors.
Dometic’s integrated digital temperature control and precise thermally sensitive sensor delivers optimal cooling performance and energy efficiency across all operating conditions. A standout feature is the automatic defrost logic embedded in the electronics, which helps prevent ice buildup on the evaporator.
The Cold Machine uses up to 15 percent less power than similar, previous models and operates using Dometic’s low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant, making it a future-compliant and more sustainable option for today’s technology laden boats.
To meet the needs of boaters, systems are available in refrigerator (CXS200 up to 200L, CSX400 up to 400L) and deep-freezer versions (CSX150FZ up to 150L freezing capacity).
