Matthew Hunsinger was fishing in Islamorada, Florida with Capt. Camp Walker when he landed this tarpon. They taped the fish at 110 pounds, caught on Hunsinger’s own shrimp-style fly. Kris Kerr, from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, took the following four photos while fishing back creeks in Florida. All fish were caught on very small white and black streamers.
Captain Mike Badarack, who fishes on the Space Coast of Florida, took the following six shots of himself and clients catching big tarpon off Satellite Beach. At the end of May, and into June and July, the tarpon really show in this part of the Sunshine State.

Joe Herdering landed this tarpon while fishing with Dave Sadler in south Key Biscayne, Florida. Herdering lifted the fish out of water, set down the rod, and removed the hook–all in one motion–for an easy release.
Jay Newell took this shot of a tarpon from Belize. He didn’t realize there was another tarpon hanging with the hooked fish.
