Finally, what we came for – dolphin! We were hoping to find some big gaffers, but only managed smallish peanuts. Still, they were a blast on light fly gear, and each one took to the air with reckless abandon!

While offshore, we also came across a floating bucket, which held a few small tripletail. This one pounced on a crab fly and smiled pretty for the camera before being released.

On the way back in at the 100-foot line, we stopped and had a ball with a bunch of little tunny. Again, we didn’t land any monsters, but even smallish guys like this pull like the dickens. It can all be done…
