I’ve been fishing for many years, and caught my share of decent fish, but never really one that I considered to be a true trophy. But that was all about to change August 24th , 2006 when I decided to fish one night for stripers and weak fish. I fished the vicinity of the Shrewsbury river and used some big sand worms with a bucket of live mullet which I had caught earlier that evening by cast netting. My patients was rewarded by two of the largest weak fish I had ever seen. The two weighed 15.5 pounds and the largest weighed 18.1 pounds. The fish were weighed in @ Scotts Bait & Tackle. Since they are a IGFA certified weigh station they filled out the forms for me to submit to IGFA for a record weigh in. I received in November a certificate from IGFA certifiying that I am a world record holder for the 20 pound class for 18.1 pound weak fish I caught. Submitted by Monica Oswald
