RJ Schmelter (right) of Guyton, Ga went on an overnight trip to the Gulfstream out of Savannah, Ga and was able to land his first blue marlin aboard the Slammer II, a 25′ Wellcraft CC that he owns with his father, Steve Schmelter (left). The marlin was estimated to weigh around 250 pounds. They also lost a sailfish, caught 2 cobia, and about 20 dolphin.
