Each year, the Palolo worm hatch frenzies Florida Keys tarpon during specific moon phases in May and June. Though the worm hatch can be tough to time, if anglers can catch it right, the tarpon fishing is outstanding. Just make sure to outfit yourself with 12-weight tackle and Palolo-worm imitations. Gary Jennings and Mike Mazur fished Bahia Honda with local captains to experience this yearly phenomenon. The following gallery tells the tale of their trip.
