FlySim is a full 3-D, physics-based fly-fishing computer game featuring a choice of places to fish, different types of fish, and realistic fish behavior. You can practice overhead casting, roll casting, mending, dry and nymph fishing, and other fly-fishing techniques. And if you catch the biggest fish, you get your name on FlySim’s trophy page.
A free demo is available to download, and if you’re ready for larger fish and a greater challenge, you can unlock the full version in minutes without any additional downloads. It is a freshwater simulation, but they are currently working on a saltwater version that will be out early next year.
The Sim includes accurate casting dynamics and techniques, five U.S. destinations with plans for expansion, five species of “intelligent” fish, water modeling, your choice of different flies, tippets and fly rod weights, and a fish log and a trophy page.
