2016 GULF RED SNAPPER SEASON IS EXTENDED

LAST MINUTE EXTENSION: Recreational anglers get more time to catch red snapper in the Gulf of Mexico this year. John Frazier

NOAA Fisheries is extending the red snapper recreational fishing season in the Gulf of Mexico for private anglers. Due to the impacts of recent Tropical Storm Colin, anglers will get 2 more days to catch red snapper this year. The amended 2016 season will close at 12:01am (local time) Sunday, June 12.
