Grady-White Express 340
The Grady-White Express 340 represents one of the most spectacular new boats for 2026, a stunning express cabin successor to the popular Grady-White Express 330. The 340 takes this classic to a new level with a host of innovations, new designs, premium touches and angling features to enhance cruising and offshore fishing.
Take, for example, the big aft cockpit with two dive doors (with swim ladder), one on each side to ease boarding and landing a big fish on either side. Eliminating the aft door means a huge amount of room in the transom for a crew of anglers. The 30-gallon transom livewell in the starboard quarter will keep you well supplied with live bait. For keeping the catch fresh, a 166-quart insulated transom fish box can be optioned as a freezer/refrigerator with digital thermostat. You will find an 87-quart fish box in the port quarter with a recessed, retractable freshwater washdown inside. A transom bench offers comfy seating, but folds away when it’s time for fishing action.
Cockpit innovation continues with the port-side mezzanine seating with a slide-out footrest for comfort and support while watching the trolling lines from the four gunwale rod holders and optional 18-foot outriggers. Plus, the backrest folds down to create a work surface with a Dekton countertop for rigging tackle. There’s also extra storage behind the seatback.
On the opposite side of the cockpit resides a summer galley that can be optioned with a covered electric grill. Tackle drawers reside below, but you can replace them with an optional refrigerator for beverages and provisions. The electric cockpit shade protects from UV while you dine.
Grady has also reimagined the spacious bridge deck with configurable seating and electrically adjustable table to port. The helm is a study in command and control with room for twin 19-inch MFDs, Yamaha Helm Master EX Full Maneuverability controls, an electrically adjustable captains chair, and more.
An expansive glass windshield and side windows integrate seamlessly with a superbly engineered hardtop and rakish aft supports (with rod holders) for outstanding weather protection and styling that beckons you aboard. The hardtop interior features overhead recessed rod stowage and indirect LED lighting for predawn runs to the fishing grounds.
The 340’s appeal grows as you enter the richly appointed cabin with its hand-crafted cabinetry with fluted inlays, indirect lighting, teak-and-holly sole, and seagrass wallcoverings. In addition to the convertible dinetter/V-berth, Grady has opened up the aft-cabin berth for easier access and greater comfort during overnight fishing trips.
The full galley lets you easily prep meals during angling adventures. To shower up on extended fishing trips, the head now boasts a dedicated shower wand, as well as a super-wide mirror over the vanity with an equally huge cabinet behind it.
There are so many great features in the new 340 that we can’t possibly cover them all, so be sure to check out this model for yourself at your Grady dealer or the next boat show.
Editor’s Tip
Grady offers the 340 with twin Yamaha XTO 450s (see performance data below) or triple F350s. I like the triple 350s, as they achieve a higher top speed (57.2 mph) and result in slightly better fuel economy of 1.12 mpg at 3,500 rpm and 30.4 mph. –Jim Hendricks
