Calcutta Marine produces two catamaran fishing boats, the 263 and 323, building into both an emphasis on reliability and attention to detail.

“The innovation incorporated into the 263 straight out of the factory is practically unheard of,” says the company. This ranges from the SeaGate fold-down transom to the efficient hull design and versatility of an offshore-capable boat with an inshore shallow-water draft of just 16 inches.

Calcutta boats boast resin-infused hulls, liners, hardtops and cockpit liners or ring decks. CZone digital switching  integrates with onboard electrical systems. With either Calcutta cat, you can customize your boat just the way you like.

Calcutta 323

Calcutta started with its successful 263, then engineered what it calls “an absolute offshore battlewagon” in the form of the Calcutta 323.

This models features two massive fish boxes–80 inches long, 630-quart capacity–one in each hull, served by gulper pumps and sporting dividers for ice management on long trips. A third insulated fish box has a 270-quart capacity. The rest of the boat is rigged up to fill them!

The helm is served by a leaning post with bolster seats and armrests—within it is a 150-quart cooler/livewell. Compartments are illuminated and courtesy lights serve the cockpit.

The cockpit has 16 stainless-steel flush-mount rod holders located at the transom, leaning post and flanking the console. When the battle’s done, clean-up is easy thanks to a pair of 20-gallon freshwater wash-down system.

The boat features a pair of insulated 45-gallon livewells aft. Three pumps serve the sea chest to quickly fill the livewells. The 323 comes with four bilge pumps with high-water alarms. Speaking of alarms, a SPOT Trace tracking device is standard, helping guard against theft.

Staying closer to shore? The 323 draws just 18 inches, only two inches more than its smaller sibling, the 263.

Available with twin Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki or Honda engines, 300 to 400 hp, the Calcutta 323 is rated for up to 800 hp. At wide-open throttle with a pair of Yamaha F350s, it hits 60.2 mph.

Options include engine upgrades, T-top, a variety of electronics, trolling motor, cushions, shade extension, underwater lights, Gemlux deep-drop rod holders and dual tackle stations.
