Lefty’s Shark Fly

I've been trying to find the recipe and directions for your red/yellow/gold shark fly, but haven't had any luck. Can you help?

A:  It’s an easy fly to tie. I use a hook with a long, 3X shank instead of a standard-length hook. Turn the hook upside down in the vise and tie in a liberal bunch of long yellow bucktail. Turn the hook right side up in the vise and add about 20 strands of gold Flashabou. I like the Mylar to extend slightly behind the wing to create additional flash. On top of the Flashabou add a liberal amount of long red bucktail and finish by epoxying the head. One of my other favorite shark patterns uses white bucktail on the bottom, gold flash and chartreuse bucktail on top. I have had more luck with these two patterns for sharks than all others I’ve tried.
