A frequent FFSW contributor, Pat Ford, has a beautiful book out just in time for the holidays titled The Best Fly-Fishing Trips  Money Can Buy.

Ford has been a hardcore saltwater angler – and fly-fisherman – for more years than I’ve been alive. His book contains brilliant photography and solid writing as well as contributions from saltwater greats Chico Fernandez, Andy Mill, RT Trosset, Marti Arostegui, Rick Murphy and Billy Pate.

Although the book is not entirely saltwater, it has some great, informative chapters covering bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, tuna, wahoo and billfish.
For the more adventurous, there are chapters on South Florida’s exotics as well as on-location chapters covering peacock bass, tigerfish, salmon and trout.

While Ford’s book is packed with examples of his acerbic sense of humor, it is also packed with a lot of how-to knowledge from guys who have actually been there and done it.

If you or someone you know loves to fly-fish, this one is a must-have. – TL
