Two day report

New Orleans Report

6-8-08 High winds made the hunt for Tripletails out of the game today. The skinny water hunt was on we made our way in and out of the ponds but the stained water and wind prevented us from sight fishing. Plan B work the ponds look for nervous bait and drop a green/ white 2/0 Deceiver into the bait. Redfish in the 15 to 18 inch range were eager to play.

6-10-08 Scout trip was the plan for the day left the dock solo around 10:30 A.M. headed out in Lake Borgne. Winds were light and variable the hunt for Tripletail was on. The incoming tide brought some gulf water in which in turn brought some tripletails spotted two while following crab trap corks but only one was eager to play a little on small side but still fun on the fly rod. A little spotty cloud cover kept the heat down which made for a great day on the water.
