Fishing here in the 10,000 islands just South of Naples and Marco Island has be really HOT! The temp and fishing has been going hand and hand. If you can brave the heat you can catch the magical Backcountry Slam, Tarpon, Snook and Redfish on the fly! The best fly is black and purple E.P. Mullet patten 2/0. We have been using 7wt-9wt rods and the action is fantastic. This pattern will continue till mid-October. Today’s Catch was 9 snook, 2 reds and 2 tarpon and back to the ramp by 1:00pm for a cool down and lunch.
