Snook and Redfish,Naples, Marco Island Backwater Fishing Report

Fly Fishing the 10,000 Islands

Darren Trip 003.jpg

Well the backwater fishing has been pretty good the first two weeks of December in the 10K Islands, Naples, and Marco Island area. The water temps have been higher than normal in the mid 70 range and I think the snook, redfish and tarpon are a bit confused.
Last week the water was clear and sight fishing was good along the oyster studded shore lines of the Ten Thousand Islands. The fly trips have been good using brown and white and green and white clousers. I had Mr Jerry Jones from NJ out last week and he ended up with 3 nice reds on the 7wt all over 25 inch. I had Darren from NJ also out Monday and he hit snook and reds on the fly. Come join me. Check out snookhooker.com.
