Coast angler Brent Guice of Biloxi recently broke a Mississippisaltwater sportfishing record.
Guice caught a 26-pound 11.2-ounce Red Drum while fly fishingDec. 2, 2002 at the north end of Chandeleur Island. The previousstate fly fishing record for Red Drum was 19 pounds, 14.4 ouncesset in August 2002.
The Commission on Marine Resources certified the new recordduring its February 18 meeting.
