Inconsistent in Cancun

During a stay in Cancún, I had an incredible 11 1/2 hours of early-morning fishing in a large school of snook. I hooked up on every cast with a chartreuse-and-white deceiver. The next two mornings of my stay, I could not buy a strike from the fish in the same school. Why?

A
One of the great mistakes fishermen make is to think every fish we cast to is starving. It’s possible that on the following mornings the fish were well-fed. More likely, however, is that the tide had changed and the baitfish the snook had first been feeding on were absent. When we figure out all the answers, we will probably stop fishing.
